KCALS has changed my life for sure…here I am barely fitting in the frame in April 2018 when I first started my weight loss journey with the amazing Claire…I went on to lose 4 stone until the pandemic came along and I put it all back on. I plucked up the courage to join KCALS in January 2023!
I am now 4 stone 1/2lb lighter! Best thing I have ever done, my journey continues into 2025 I have more to lose but to anyone struggling- keep going, you absolutely can do it! Thank you as always to Claire, Julie and the wonderful Saturday gang for the support and friendship-it means so much to me.

KCALS has changed my life.
Does that sound a bit incredible? Well, let me tell you - losing just short of 6 STONE to get to my goal weight and putting Type 2 diabetes in remission _is_ incredible! And life-changing. And I couldn’t have done it without KCALS.
I was always the one who _nearly_ did it. But then something always got in the way - Christmas, holidays, well - any excuse really. So I’d put weight on, tell myself I’d go back to weigh in when I’d lost the gain, that never happened, put more weight on...I’m sure you know the scenario.
That was until KCALS. I went straight back - after Christmas, after holidays, after any weight gain - because there is no judgment, just support, empathy & understanding. Understanding that it is entirely normal to gain weight sometimes. It’s called living life.
KCALS has taught me I can live life and lose weight, reach my goals and stay there. I’m determined to.
Life is for living...KCALS helps you to live your best life.
The best advice I can give is don’t give up, keep turning up, keep doing it. Because we CAN do it!

I have been on every diet under the sun to lose a few pounds and always put back on!
KCALS is the best thing l've ever joined it's not only logical it's just so simple to follow l've never eaten so well and even on holiday I follow it. I may alter the calories and have more but then I'm more active so it should pan out but altogether with Claire I have lost 4st 7lb
I feel so much better in myself. I'm forever buying clothes as l've dropped from size 28 to a 20/22
Because of the healthier lifestyle I now have if l've put weight on after my hols I know it will definitely be off. The support from everyone in all the groups is so helpful & no matter which one you go to everybody is so welcoming.
I started my KCALS journey last year, and it is the best thing l've ever done l've followed different diets in the past that have been a 'chore' to follow and have not worked for me. With KCALS you can manage your own calories and still have that 'Treat' when you need one. The support at group has been an amazing and has made my journey easier with people sharing meal and snack ideas and knowing everyone is in the same situation with bad weeks and great weeks. I'm not at goal as of yet but I am 38lb down

I was always overweight and then along came COVID and my weight increased. On 31 October 2021 | retired from work and I spent the next two weeks eating and watching TV.
On Tuesday 16 November 2021 I made one of the best decisions of my life and joined KCALS.
My weight loss journey has been slow and steady.
My cousins house in Spain is called ELTINAR (enjoy life this is not a rehearsal). I have certainly enjoyed my life whilst on my weight loss journey with KCALS. My best tip is always go and stay to class every week, get weighed face the music or celebrate your loss. My journey has had some gains along the way but Julie's amazing support, encouragement and advice has made me want to carry on.
I have made lots of friends at my Tuesday morning class, Monday night class, Facebook and other groups at the Summer land Christmas Balls.
Each and everyone of you has helped me. I would not be 71 pounds lighter if I had not joined KCALS in November 2021

"I have battled with my weight my whole life. I've tried every diet and every slimming club, usually with little success. KCALS is the very very best thing that ever happened in my (dieting) life! And that's because it's not a diet!! I'm eternally grateful to Claire and all the KCALS gang. KCALS has become my way of life, and I'm reaping the benefits on a daily basis. The support from everyone in the group is phenomenal. It's like my family and my home. Being with like minded people who also enjoy food but know how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I started my KCALS journey in September 2021, so far have lost 44lbs. The support received from class and our Facebook group has encouraged me to keep going especially if I'm having a bad day.

I can't keep up with all the fabulous new clothes she's ordering. Elaine couldn't have done this on her own. She will always shout from the rooftops that it's the support from fellow members, her coach & the motivation she gets from regularly attending her meetings that has got her to where she is today. Elaine never gives up on herself & now she has a new hip there's no stopping her
"I started calorie counting myself last year to feel better and to get in the best shape I could for my wedding. I managed to lose a stone gradually however when I started to struggle my friend suggested KCALS. Joining KCALS was the best decision I made and I have lost a further stone in four and a half months. Slow and steady is deffo the way forward.
The class support u get is amazing especially when having a down day they soon help you get back up and crack on with the journey.

For me the list is endless, healthier life style, more confidence, love of walking(which was non existent before), best support group and coach, 2 fabulous yearly Do’s, Wednesday Walkers, size 16 (that skirt is a 14) to 8/10, I could go on and on but most of all it’s made me actually enjoy being Justine.
I joined KCALS on 13th January this year. I initially got to goal in 1993, and then returned to various meetings as and when my weight increased.
This time my weight had increased following a number of stressful life events. Each weekend I would tell myself that the diet would start again on Monday. I also told myself that my weight gain was linked to the menopause and perhaps I just needed to accept it.
I was initially reluctant to follow a calorie counting diet as I thought it would be both restrictive and time consuming... how wrong I was!!!
I immediately loved the freedom of being able to eat whatever food I wanted as long as I stuck within my calorie allowance; the Nutricheck app was so easy to use and there was lots of support from the coaches, the group(s) and the Facebook page. My weight loss was steady each week with me reaching my goal weight, 2 stone lighter, in June.
It feels amazing to be able to fit comfortably in my clothes. I am loving being more active too.
I am going to continuelto come to the group regularly to track my weight (I don't go on the scales at home between meetings as previously this had been counterproductive for me) and to benefit from and give support/ideas to the group.

I couldn't have lost my 10.5 stone without the encouragement and support from Julie and the girls at my Failsworth KCALS class.
It hasn't always been easy it was hard work! I lost sometimes I put back on. it has taken me about 5 years. Learning about healthy eating, portion control and calories has become a way of life!
My advice: Never give up it’s not a race it's a way of life.

Living life, losing weight, feeling and looking great
I went on holiday in 2022 & could hardly breath, I was miserable and hid my emotions in lots of Wine.
I joined KCALS as a work Colleague had lost weight & highly recommended joining. I have found Calorie counting so much easier & the weight has come off steadily. I don't eat rubbish anymore & my drinking is in moderation. I am Happy, feeling Healthier & have lost nearly 2 stone. Having tried various diets practically all my adult life, I feel at last I have found something that works for Me.
Group support is also amazing, as we're all in it together.
